About OURS+GO

Office of Undergraduate Research in STEM + Graduate Opportunities (OURS+GO)

This initiative is designed to foster a robust research culture among undergraduate students and faculty, providing a platform for innovative research and academic excellence. OURS+GO aims to enhance educational experience by integrating research opportunities into the undergraduate curriculum, thereby preparing students for successful careers and advanced studies. The program emphasizes the importance of curiosity, lifelong learning, and scholarly discourse.

OURS+GO Objectives

  • Coordinate and communicate independent mentored research opportunities 
  • Support academic initiatives to increase undergraduate research experiences 
  • Identify funding support for students 
  • Encourage faculty to pursue funding for research 

OURS+GO Activities

  • Undergraduate Research Activities: Internal research pairing, establishing relationships with external research programs, identifying funding opportunities, research training 
  • Events & Communication: Promoting research symposia, developing digital resources, seminar series, enhancing communication structures 
  • Career Preparation: Assisting with graduate school applications, professional development, integrating with other offices for support 
  • Proposal Development: Supporting efforts to secure funding for undergraduate research, creating a culture of research
